MOON OVER JUPITER _ Premiered in 2010 _ 28min

is an abstract work that dives into the realm of fantasy, and sets that fantastical feeling by conjuring an environment that is wondrous and unrestricted by reality.

It is a place where love has no limit, and flows in dynamic currents of passion through the extreme movements of the dancers. The work takes place in an undefined place and uses the sweeping Rachmaninov score to create extravagant and extreme motion that tears across the stage in a combination of formations.
Inspired by the mental images of Jupiter’s cyclonic energy, ever present red spot, and numerous moons – this ballet hopes to transport its viewer to another world - to experience the relationships between the movement, the environment and the performers.

recur _ World Premiere _ 30min
will be rooted in my observation of how life’s twists and turns emerge from unexpected moments. Many of the catalytic events in our lives start with something small, and only gain their significance in our memory. We experience things then move on. Only later can we tell if any particular experience has shaped our lives in an important way.  will depict the way life unfolds before us. The dancers in this piece will show the way we communicate these experiences through a series of solos, duets, and groups performances that lead the audience through a journey of recollection; tracing a thread of life experience back to its source.

RISE_ Premiered in 2008 _ 30min

explores the dizzying journey of life in all its complexity and ecstasy.

The songs of U2 that have become the anthems of a generation give voice to the challenges and triumphs encountered by a group of voyagers in a dream-world where imagination and love prevail.
With its euphoric physicality and highly energized movement, invites audiences to believe all over again in the power of love.

ㆍComplexions Contemporary Ballet
Founded in 1994, Complexions' groundbreaking mix of methods, styles, cultures has created an entirely new and exciting vision of human movement. It is artistic directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson's lifelong appreciation for the artistic & aesthetic appeal of the multicultural that forms the cornerstone of Complexions Contemporary Ballet's singular approach to reinventing dance.
The company's foremost innovation is that dance should be about removing boundaries, not reinforcing them. Whether it be the limiting traditions of a single style, period, venue, or culture, Complexions transcends them all, creating an open, continually evolving form of dance that reflects the movement of our world-and all its constituent cultures-as an interrelated whole.
