It is a story about a dokkaebi (Korean goblin) that was both friendly and scary when we were children. Dokkaebi, which reflect people’s anxieties, used to appear in forests or fields in the past. However, in the late Joseon Dynasty, they began to be depicted as appearing within the city walls. Why did the dokkaebi come to the city? At the time, Seoul was socially and economically unstable due to urban overcrowding and industrial changes. These situations brought dokkaebi to the capital city. In 2024, anxiety caused by urban overcrowding and rising housing prices resembles the situation faced by our youth, similar to the appearance of goblins who came to Seoul during the Joseon Dynasty.
< Dokkaebi’s dream site >depicts the situation of young dokkaebi who have nowhere to go. Through the collaboration of various genres such as 3D objects, makeup, costumes, video, sound, and movement, it presents their worries and insecurities conveyed through video exhibitions, sound art, and performance.

IM Hee-jong started dancing as a street dancer, majored in modern dance after entering university, and actively worked as a regular member of Company SIGA. Choreographer Im Hee-jong began choreography in earnest after winning the Contemporary Dance Association of Korea's Rookie Award. Currently, with an interest in the collaboration of dance and other genres, he founded the arts complex COSMOS In ART. Recently, he was selected for the Korea Arts Council's Young Artist Leap Support Project and was invited to La mama Spoleto Open in Italy.
COSMOS IN ART is an art community inspired by the word ‘cosmos’, which means planets with unique colors come together to form a large, ordered universe. Artists of all genres and majors work together to complete one work. In a horizontal work environment that respects each other, we strive to provide familiar works of art that audiences can empathize with, using the three keywords of ‘diversity, multifacetedness, and interdisciplinary’ as our moto.
